抵禦冬神，溫暖人心的最佳良品

— 2008年世界音樂及其他出版概況與與趨勢回顧

世界音樂顧名思義自然指的是世界各區域各部落發聲的傳統音樂或以傳統音樂為基礎的融合音樂，也因此世界音樂與全球的運轉當然息息相關。然而自從全球經濟不景氣從這一兩年逐漸增長及2008年的美國金融海嘯而引起的全球經濟體系崩盤所帶來的強烈嚴峻衝擊後，2008年的世界音樂就顯得消退而冷清。不僅各地的出版量明顯銳減許多，而且在市場大餅消費比例分配的通則下，全球經濟的動盪讓原本就已瀕臨底谷的音樂工業更形寒冷。

然而外在條件這樣低迷的環境下，原本就是世界音樂兩大創作大宗的非洲、拉丁美洲及這幾年急起直追的亞洲依舊有著許多傑出的音樂代表作品，例如曾應邀來台演唱且在台灣擁有高知名度的Buena Vista Social Club（樂士浮生錄）及成員之一的Omara Portuondo均有新的代表作《At Carnegie Hall》、《Gracias》發行，其數十年的硬底子讓喜愛他們的樂迷自是不可錯過；此外巴西國寶Rosa Passos亦發表她個人新作《Romance》，她歌聲橫跨森巴、Bossa Nova、拉丁爵士及MPB（巴西流行音樂）等數種風格，使得她的歌聲能適時地跟上時代的新風尚及現代巴西音樂的演變。

歐洲地區向來是以巴黎為最注目焦點，而以手風琴為主要樂器，演唱香頌多年的Jean Corti則傾注他多年在巴黎酒館演唱的經驗發表的專輯《Versatile》可說是近期最動人的音樂之一，他融合巴黎小酒館的浪漫琴聲與低啞幽迴的嗓音，著實是樂迷必聽經典盤。當然，倘若只是尋找花都城市身影，這張向法國歌壇才子伊天•達荷(Etienne Daho)致敬的合集《Tombes Pour Daho》其風格橫跨法國流行、民謠、電音、搖滾音樂界等十七位巨星，當是最佳選擇。

亞洲區部分，今年則有相當亮眼的成績，首先由阿拉勝鳥拉•金山花費很長時間，歷經好幾處的往返流浪，最後匯集八百多個音符而成的馬頭琴演奏專輯，堪稱是融合古典與現代精華的中國古典樂器演奏傑作，此外久未露面的朱哲琴與何訓田則邀集沙姆．尼泊/ 薩頂頂再度以空靈優美的天籟女聲歌吟宗教所闡揚的人生哲理；而來自吐瓦的Huun-Huur-Tu樂團這次則邀請同鄉的前衛女伶Sainkho攜手發行《Mother Earth, Father Sky》，對於喜愛獨步雙喉音技法的樂迷絕對是絕對必聽逸品。

台灣本土上，將詩人吳晟詩作譜成歌的合集《甜蜜的負荷》可說是今年最讓人意外的驚喜，因將詩與歌的結合雖是早期校園民歌的傳統，然相關主題的創作卻頗為稀少，而這張在應邀的胡德夫、林生祥等知名歌手演唱下，更憑添許多動人的聲韻；再者鋼琴詩人王俊傑的新作再次彈奏他善感抒情的琴韻。而來自的阿美族青年查勞•巴西瓦里以悠揚而怡然的歌聲唱出他這代原住部落青年流浪他鄉的心聲，值得一提的是，倘若以此與從加拿大遠程來台的歌手馬修連恩相比，他的《旅客》則有著在他鄉生活的另種心得。

最後若回到較流行的層面，薩克斯風手肯尼吉的拉丁專輯，流行輕爵士女歌手Kelly Sweet的《如夢似幻》或愛爾蘭天籟女聲恩雅的《And Winter Came》都有著歲末冬藏的季節氣氛，都稱得上算是聖誕佳節的應景之作，當若能再配合一張非常適合睡前聆賞的合集《夢鄉》的話，當是在這寒流來襲之際，最能抵禦冬神，甜甜入夢的最佳良品。

2008年度專輯與音樂趨勢回顧

根據過去的經驗法則，每十年最後兩年往往是蘊藏下一個世代與風華十年的關鍵年，從1978年的龐克運動爆發，1988年另類風潮的醞釀，與1998年的後搖滾與Electronica等趨勢都讓搖滾樂的路途有了不同的走向，然而回顧過去2008年一整年的音樂發展，整體看來，其實並未出現真正的新趨勢，而且這樣的現象也已經持續了好幾年，在過去，即使電子樂不斷與傳統樂種作結合而出現新的許多支流，搖滾樂與電音節奏的關係也更加廣泛而密集的應用，甚至現在都開始出現「Rocktronica」這樣的複合名詞，但整體而言，一來依舊缺乏夠份量或眾望所歸的作品，二來若說要找什麼新方向，倒反而像是舊勢力的盤整回流。例如Trip-Hop、Brit-Pop等引領九零年代的樂團、DJ如Portishead、Tricky紛紛重出江湖，推出新作，抑或間歇好一陣的老團Oasis、The Verve也在低檔期重新振作而發表水準以上的成績；甚至連代表八零年代樂風，時空橫跨近兩個世代的Guns N’ Roses樂團亦都趕上這股「復出風」而炒熱不少樂壇的話題。

但私以為，真正的好作品反而是在出現在樂風偏向民謠搖滾的幾個新團的作品，尤其來自西雅圖的新秀Fleet Foxes及來自威斯康辛小鎮的Bon Iver最為出色，前者結合六零年代民謠搖滾幾位名家的脈絡與古典巴洛克風格的和諧旋律，後者則在歌者困頓的時刻回到他父親的家鄉一座小木屋裡錄音，在那裡他創作出的九首歌曲，不僅讓音樂成了療癒他破碎心靈最好的良藥，同時經由歌吟出來的音樂亦成了最真誠最熱切的傾訴，音樂創作最初的源頭莫過於此，簡單而清晰，回歸原始卻充滿力量。

此外新生代幾個看好的新銳如TV On The Radio、The Hold Steady、Flying Lotus及Vampire Weekend都交出亮麗的成績，若以此取樣分析，來自紐約的TOTR與Vampire Weekend均深諳後現代社會「hybrid」的特性，在音樂上亦時常混雜新舊元素或不同地域文化的特點而成，而這其實亦是這十年來最普世的音樂特性。

所以若以熱鬧度來看，2008年絕對是勝過前兩年的稀疏感，老團、A喀歌手紛紛在英美各大音樂活動露臉現身，樂迷自是一片歡呼叫好，然而向前看，音樂工業的前景依舊處於低迷的狀態，消費習慣在改變，聆聽習慣亦改變，但可以拯救產業的強心針卻依然仍未見端倪，結果各國的星光選秀節目當道，或許可以提拔許多歌唱新人出頭的機會，但對於創作水準的提升則功效微薄。

只是全球不景氣的影響，加上美國金融海嘯的雙重效應，連帶許多大型音樂活動都遭受牽連，台灣幾個音樂節是否在2009年持續舉辦都仍是未定數不提，而甫熱鬧落幕的簡單音樂節在財團的支持下或許較為穩定，然而光眼前幾個小型獨立音樂的演唱會如「大大樹樂人年度音樂交工 2008冬藏之夜」的票房就已經嚴重告急，所以告別2008，展望2009，在這嚴冬之際，對於許多音樂人多少都是忐忑不安的吧。
